Zhongping Chen’s new book, Transpacific Reform and Revolution: The Chinese in North America, 1898−1918, will be released by Stanford University Press in July 2023 (https://www.sup.org/books/title/?id=35428). This book covers the political reforms promoted by Kang Youwei, a prominent reformer of modern China, among the Chinese in North America after 1898, as well as the revolutionary movements led by Sun Yat-sen, the "father of Republican China," until 1918.
